Tips:
- Cardstock used on these projects is Tip Top Taupe, Old Olive, Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White. DSP is Succulent Garden.
- Take a piece of DSP that has lots of succulent images, cut a piece to fit on the Big Shot Platform (approximately 6″ x 9″ or 15cm x 23cm). Use the Succulent Framelits and cut out as many images as you can from this piece of DSP. This will create enough pieces to make these three cards (including the insides).
- Arrange your die cut pieces in the desired pattern beside your card. From the design you create here, you will see which pieces need to be attached first. With the stripes card (Card 3), I started attaching the pieces from the bottom left hand corner and worked my way across and up.
- As you can see, I have not added any sentiments. When I am ready to send the card, I will stamp one either directly on the DSP, or on a scrap of Whisper White and fussy cut or punch out the shape and attach with Dimensionals.
- You can use these designs with any DSP. Die cut or punch images to suit the style of the paper. If you are having difficulties trying to work out how to do this with the paper you have, please email me with a photo or name of the paper and I will give you some specific ideas.
CARD 1
- Start with a piece of DSP (0.5cm or ⅛”) smaller than the card base. Cut the DSP in half on the long side, flip one piece over and attach both pieces to the card. Add a strip of matching cardstock across the join (1cm or ½”).
- Die cut an oval with the Stitched Shapes Framelits, and attach some of the die cut images with adhesive of your choice. (I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.)
- Attach the oval to the card with Dimensionals.
- Don’t forget to add a couple of the die cuts to the inside of the card too.
CARD 2
- Cut a piece of DSP 5cm or 2″ wide, and as long as the card base. Use the Banner Triple Punch on one end. Attach to centre of card base.
- Cut a piece of Sweet Sugarplum with a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Attach some of the die cut images with adhesive of your choice. (I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.)
- Attach the circle to the card with Dimensionals.
- Don’t forget to add a couple of the die cuts to the inside of the card too.
- CARD 3
- Cut a piece of DSP 0.5cm or ⅛” smaller than the card base and attach to the front of the card.
- Arrange die cuts as desired and adhere to DSP.
- Decorate the inside too.
