VIDEO – Folded Corner Fancy Fold Card

Here is the other fancy fold card that we made in a recent technique class. It is known as a Folded Corner Fancy Fold Card.

Tips:

  • Supplies:
    • Stamps – Floral Essence, Perennial Birthday
    • Card Stock – So Saffron, Pretty Peacock, Very Vanilla, Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper
    • Ink – Pretty Peacock, Mossy Meadow, So Saffron
    • Accessories – Basic Jewel Pearls, Dimensionals
  • Measurements:
    • Card Base (So Saffron): 21cm x 14.8cm (8½” x 5½”)
    • Very Vanilla: 10cm x 14.3cm (4″ x 5¼”); 10cm x 2.7cm (4″ x 1-1/8″)
    • Pretty Peacock: 7cm x 7cm (2¾” x 2¾”); 10cm x 2.7cm (4″ x 1-1/8″)
    • DSP: 6.5cm x 6.5cm (2½” x 2½”)
  • Instructions:
    • Start with a piece of cardstock 21cm x 14.8cm (8½” x 5½”).
    • Score at 10.5cm (4¼”) on the long side. Keep in the trimmer.
    • Move along so that the left hand edge is on the 7.5cm (3″) mark.
    • Move the cutter blade to 1.5cm (5/8″) without cutting, then cut from 1.5cm to 7.5cm (5/8″ to 3″).
    • Turn 90o and line up the long front edge at the 7.3cm (2½”) mark.
    • Move the cutter blade to 1.5cm (5/8″) without cutting, then cut from 1.5cm to 7.5cm (5/8″ to 3″).
    • Remove from trimmer and turn over.
    • Flip the top right hand corner down and add glue dot under the corner to hold it down.
    • Attach DSP to Pretty Peacock square layer.
    • Attach layered piece to the front of the card lining it up evenly between the top right corner and bottom left corner of the flipped piece.
    • Stamp sentiment on Very Vanilla strip.
    • Add Pretty Peacock strip with Dimensionals aligned to the left hand side of the card. Attach the sentiment aligned to the right hand side of the card, offset on the Pretty Peacock strip. (OPTIONAL – stamp sentiment directly on the front of the card.)
    • Decorate inside layer and envelope as desired. (OPTIONAL Draw a border 0.5cm (¼”) all around the inside layer.) Attach to the card.
