VIDEO to learn how to emboss with dies using Layering Ovals Framelits

I recently posted a video on how Embossing Mats are an economical way to provide more uses for your dies.

Today, I have another video – this time using the Layering Ovals Framelits to create a quick and easy card with a WOW embossed frame.

Tips:

  • Sandwich for embossing:
    • Big Shot Platform with Tab 2 open (or with the new platform – no adapters)
    • Die with cutting side up
    • Cardstock
    • Blue Thin Silicone Mat
    • White Impressions Pad
  • Supplies:
    • Stamp Sets: Bloom by Bloom, Amazing Life
    • Cardstock: Fresh Fig, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist
    • Ink: Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide
    • Accessories: Layering Ovals Framelits, Petals & More Thinlits, Embossing Mats
  • Measurements METRIC:
    • Fresh Fig: Card base: 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm
    • Whisper White: two pieces each 13.8cm x 9.5cm
    • Lemon Lime Twist: scrap to stamp sentiment
  • Measurements IMPERIAL:
    • Fresh Fig: Card base: 8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”
    • Whisper White: 2 pieces each 5¼” x 4”
    • Lemon Lime Twist: scrap to stamp sentiment
  • Instructions:
    • Line up a straight oval and a scallop oval on the centre of one of the Whisper White pieces.
    • Stamp images inside the inner oval.
    • Place ovals over stamped images and emboss with the above sandwich.
    • Use the large petal die and emboss the top left hand corner with the same sandwich.
    • Stamp sentiment on Lemon Lime Twist scrap with Fresh Fig ink. Attach to lower right hand corner of the art panel.
    • Attach the art panel to the front of the card.
    • Stamp images on inside panel and envelope to match the art panel.

Check out the video for a more detailed look on how to achieve this embossed look.
