Embossing Paste create textured Christmas Trees

I know that it is often difficult to envisage a white Christmas here in Australia. However, it is certainly fun making cards such as this one. Embossing Paste provides a great texture, and here the trees and snow drift demonstrate this so well.

Tips:

  • The Night of Navy layer was stamped with Whisper White Craft ink and the ‘spots’ from Timeless Textures.
  • I used the Card Front Builder Thinlits to cut a negative image of the trees with Window Sheet / acetate. This is the stencil I used with Embossing Paste to create the trees on this card. Once the paste was dry, I used a palette knife to add the snow drift. Whilst it was wet, I added some Dazzling Diamonds for sparkle. I then decided that the trees needed sparkle too. I used my fingers to daub the embossing paste onto the trees and then added Dazzling Diamonds.
  • The sentiment from Christmas Pines was stamped in Night of Navy on Whisper White and fussy cut before being added to the art panel with Dimensionals.
