I had a few friends over recently and showed them how to do one of my favourite techniques – Faux Silk.
My first sample uses Perfect Plum, Always Artichoke and Whisper White card stock. I stamped images from Peaceful Petals onto the tissue paper to create the silk look. Extra texture was added to the base card with the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF.
My second sample is a Christmas card using the retired Beautiful Season bird and holly image. The Modern Mosaic TIEF and one of the Labels Framelits provided extra interest.
As you can see, this technique can be used for a variety of occasions and adds that extra WOW to the project. Check out my tutorial on this technique to see how easy it is.
