Secret Garden Black Mambo Argyle

As part of the recent ‘brayer’ afternoon with my sisters, I showed them how to use the brayer to create a faux letterpress look. It really is quite simple, and yet produces the most amazing results. One of my sisters challenged me to use Melon Mambo for my sample as I seldom use such bright colours. Well, here it is.

I inked the Argyle TIEF with Melon Mambo ink and the brayer, and then embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock. After added some white ribbon [not SU], I layered it onto a Basic Black base. The image panel uses Secret Garden and a non SU sentiment, again in Melon Mambo. I added a little more colour to the flower using a Blender Pen and ink. The image was cut with a Chalk Talk Framelit and layered onto a Basic Black piece cut with the same Framelit.

A very striking result don’t you think?
