Background stamps can be useful for just about any occasion. Dictionary has made its way into the latest catalogue as one of these versatile images.
My project today has not turned out anything like I imagined. My first thought was to use this background on a feminine card. Without even thinking about it, I have made yet another masculine card. Using the Direct to Paper method, I dragged the Crumb Cake ink pad across a piece of Very Vanilla to create a vintage look. The Dictionary stamp was then inked with Soft Suede and stamped over the distressed vanilla. This was layered onto a base of Always Artichoke. The art panel is the oak tree from Lovely As A Tree, and the sentiment is from Petite Pairs. Both the image and the sentiment are layered onto Early Espresso Core’dinations which was embossed with the Woodgrain TIEF and sanded. [I know, I said no more Core’dinations for a while, but it worked so well for this card.]
For some reason, I find it much easier to make masculine cards. You will have to wait a little longer for my feminine Dictionary card.
