Today, I finally got around to trying out a technique that has been on my to do list for quite some time now. As you would have guessed from the title of this post, the technique is known as crimped diamond. Added to this, I also tried out a colouring tutorial from the wonderful Michelle Zindorf to complete the rose on the card. I then punched out some Old Olive ovals, scored and folded them down the middle and put them through the crimper to give me some pretty leaves. Here is the final product.
I am very happy with the outcome.
Recipe:
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Old Olive, Pink Passion, Versamark
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Oval All
Accessories: Crimper, 2 x 1 3/8″ Oval Punch, 1 3/8 x 5/8″ Oval Punch, 1 3/4 x 7/8″ Oval Punch, Clear Embossing Powder
Enjoy
A lovely card, the flower is beautiful – the Crimped Diamond is on my to do list as well along with lots of others
