Happy Easter

I am not in the habit of sending Easter Cards, but when a friend asked me about them, I thought I would see what I could come up with. I know the Easter Bunny is very common, but he still represents a new beginning with the giving of eggs. So, here are a couple of my designs.

The first card is Bashful Blue with the new Stampin’ Up! Textured Impressions Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder on Barely Banana. I made the eggs with various scraps of DSP and the small oval punch, punched out Creamy Caramel cardstock with the Round Tab punch and stamped it with the Linen Background to create the basket. The cute little bunny is from Forest Friends, the sentiment was made using MS Word and printed on Whisper White. Certainly Celery cardstock is used to layer the bunny and sentiment. Ribbon is also Certainly Celery.

This one uses Inspired by Nature in Old Olive for the grass hiding the bunny and eggs. The sentiment is backed with Brilliant Blue.

I also tried out an Easter Basket [courtesy of Makeesha]. The first is based on the imperial measurements she used, and the second, which I have converted to metric is slightly smaller.

The above basket uses Close to Cocoa cardstock, Berry Bliss DSP [retired], Oval All stamp set. The basket below uses Sahara Sand cardstock, Le Jardin DSP [retired], Oval All stamp set and Chit Chat rubons.

I hope you all have a happy and safe Easter.

  1. They look great in photos but even better in ‘reality’!!!! If that’s possible!!!! They are really easy to make and not at all time consuming!! (if your not cutting out cardstock, etc!!!) And the best thing about the baskets is that they can hold chocolate eggs! yum!!! Anyway, the cards and the baskets look gorgeous, ahh annette, you’ve done it again!!!

I would love to hear what you think of my blog. Thank you for your comments.
