Layers of Beauty with Decorative Masks

the Layers of Beauty Bundle is a beautiful new addition in the 2024 Annual Catalogue which was released on 1 May.

It has a stamp set, matching dies and a set of Decorative Masks so there are numerous ways to use the images. They could be coloured with Blending Brushes and the Decorative Masks, or with the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers or even watercoloured with Water Painters and ink.

Tips:

  • For today’s post I have used Blending Brushes with the Decorative Masks on the large image. The image was then cut diagonally and added to the front of two card bases.
  • A sentiment was added with a 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch on the lower part of the card front.
  • The front of the card was then embossed with the new So Swirly Embossing Folder. WOW! This new folder is 6″ x 8-1/2″ (15.2 x 21.6 cm) – so big that you can emboss two card fronts at once.
  • I used part of the image on the inside panel as well as the envelope.

Here are a few samples that I have made.

This image was stamped with Basic Beige ink (a new addition to the collection) and then coloured with Lemon Lolly, Crushed Curry, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green. Stamping with a light ink creates a subtle look to the beautiful roses.

This image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (a new addition to the collection) and then coloured with Lemon Lolly, Crushed Curry, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green. Note the different look by using a dark ink on the outline.

This one was coloured with Poppy Parade, Real Red, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green.
