Today I am using one of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks to create a background for the pretty Petal Park images. Scroll down for step by step directions.
Tips:
- Start by stamping the outline leaf image onto a piece of Masking Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Fussy cut around the outside of the image leaving the centre part of the masking paper as shown in the image above.
- Stamp the outline leaf image in the centre of a piece of Basic White using Old Olive ink.
- Stamp the solid leaf image over the outline image (two-step stamping).
- Peel the backing off the Masking Paper (keep the backing to store the mask to use again) and attach the sticky paper over the stamped image.
- Lay one of the Decorative Masks over the cardstock and add Smoky Slate ink with a Blending Brush. Apply the ink in an oval shape so that there is no stencil at the top or bottom of the panel.
- Remove the Decorative Mask and then carefully remove the Masking Paper.
- Stamp the outline 3 small flower image at the top left and bottom right of the art panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Use the solid 3 small flower image with Fresh Freesia ink on the lower outline and Highland Heather ink on the top outline (two-step stamping).
- Add some ‘spots’ around the flowers with Old Olive ink.
- Stamp the three large flowers outline image onto a separate piece of Basic White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Use the solid flowers image over the outline (two-step stamping) using Fresh Freesia for the smallest image, Highland Heather for the middle image and Gorgeous Grape for the largest image.
- Punch out the three flowers and add to the art panel using Dimensionals. Add some Wink of Stella to the flowers.
- Attach the art panel to a Gorgeous Grape card base.
- Decorate an envelope and a panel for the inside.
