Slimline Cards and Tulips

Slimline Cards are all the rage at the moment. In the 2022 January-June Mini Catalogue there is a Slim Sayings Bundle which has some large sentiments and dies to create stylised quatrefoil and chevron patterns.

Today I have some slimline cards using this bundle and the Flowering Tulips Stamp Set, Tulips Dies and Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper. The card base is 7″ x 8½” scored at 3½” so that it folds to 3½” x 8½”. The die cuts are 3¼” x 8¼”.

Card 1: The chevron die was used with Flowering Fields DSP. The inside pieces were adhered to Pool Party cardstock and placed on a Basic White card base. The tulip was stamped with Poppy Parade and Evening Evergreen inks, die cut and layered on a Pear Pizzazz Seasonal Labels die cut. The Pear Pizzazz strip was embossed with the Stripes 3D Embossing Folder.

Card 2: The outside piece from the above chevron die cut was reversed to show the other side of the DSP. It was adhered to Petal Pink cardstock (embossed with the Stripes 3D Embossing Folder) and placed on a Basic White card base. The tulips were stamped with Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Evening Evergreen inks, die cut and layered on a Pear Pizzazz Seasonal Labels die cut. A strip of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon and some Polished Dots add some sparkle. The sentiment comes from Blessings of Home.

Card 3: The stylised quatrefoil die was used with Pear Pizzazz cardstock. The outline piece was adhered to a piece of Flowering Fields DSP and attached to a Mango Melody card base. Some of the inside pieces of the die cut were added with Dimensionals and fussy cut tulips from another sheet of the DSP were added to the raised areas.
