VIDEO – create Flowers with Ribbon

One of the FREE Sale-A-Bration products is a pack of ¼” Organdy Ribbon. There are 5 colours – Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist and each roll has 4.6m. Imagine the fun you can have with all this gorgeousness.

To showcase the ribbon, there is a card sample in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue which uses it as flowers. I have been asked how to make these flowers, so today I have a video to show you how easy they are to create.

Here is one of the cards that I have made using the flowers created in the video.

Tips:

  • Ribbon Measurements:
    • Highland Heather (large flower) – 50cm (20″)
    • Daffodil Delight and Grapefruit Grove – 10cm (4″)
    • Lemon Lime Twist – 13cm (5″)
  • Supplies:
    • Stamp Set: Climbing Roses
    • Cardstock: Soft Sea Foam, Whisper White
    • Ink: Soft Sea Foam
    • Accessories: Leaf Punch, Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack, Lace Dynamic TIEF, Foam Adhesive Strips, Dimensionals, Glue Dots
  • … a little decoration for the inside.

Here is the card I showed in the video using different ribbon.

Tips:

  • Thicker ribbon, such as satin will give a more dimensional flower than the thin organdy.
  • Supplies:
    • Stamp Set: Amazing Life
    • Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Gingham Gala DSP
    • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
    • Accessories: Sprig Punch, Pear Pizzazz Shimmer Ribbon, Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon, Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon, Calypso Coral Satin Ribbon, Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins, Glue Dots
  • … a little decoration for the inside.
