I have already shown you some projects using Tranquil Tulips (here and here). For today’s Blog Hop, I am showcasing two more of the Host sets – Feathery Friends and Background Bits.
Feathery Friends is a set of 8. There are 7 outline images and one sentiment. This set is perfect for colouring.
I have made some one layer 3″ square note cards.
These two cards have been coloured with Watercolor Pencils. The leaves on the left card were then coloured with the matching marker to add more depth. Originally I only had leaves on the right hand card. After colouring them, I realised that it looked too plain, so I added a bird peeking in from the side.
These three cards are also coloured with Watercolor Pencils.
These cards have been coloured using markers – a much brighter look.
Background Bits is a set of 8. There are 2 sentiments and 6 images that will create great collages or clean and simple looks.
A clean and simple almost one layer look with a strip of Color Theory DSP for added interest. I coloured the stamps with Calypso Coral and Old Olive markers. The sentiment is stamped in Dapper Denim.
A completely different look here by creating a collage effect. Powder Pink, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Lemon Lime Twist inks provided the colour. That pretty pink ribbon is the new Powder Pink Shimmer Ribbon.
Thank you for visiting our blog tour. I am sure you will agree with me that there are lots of amazing ideas and inspiration for you to digest. You are at my blog Annette Sullivan (Lavender Thoughts), so click on the blue icon below to see who is next in the list.
Thank you Joanne. I love the collage look. The secret is not to try and plan the design, just get your stamps out and go for it.

What great cards Annette – I especially love the last one, I find this kind of collage stamping so difficult to get right and yours is perfect! It might even inspire me to get this set!

These are some very nice cards. The little bird peaking in is perfect. I’ll have to remember that.
