Here is another card using the FREE Hey Chick stamp set from the 2017 Sale-A-Bration promotion.
Supplies:
- Stamp Sets – Perfect Mix; Hey Chick
- Card Stock/DSP – Thick Whisper White; Delightful Dijon: Basic Black; In Color Designer Series Paper Stack 2015-2017
- Stamp Pads – Basic Black Archival; Delightful Dijon
- Accessories – Watercolor Pencils; Layering Oval Framelits; Stitched Shapes Framelits dies; 1¼” Circle punch; 1” circle punch; Aqua painter; Classic Label punch; Dimensionals
Measurements:
- In Color DSP Delightful Dijon Polka dot pattern – 4” x 3½” (10cm x 9cm)
- Whisper White Cardstock – card base 8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼” (21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm)
- Delightful Dijon – 3½” x 2½” – Use to cut layering oval
- Scrap of white cardstock 2” x 3” for Stitched Oval and small pieces for egg stamp and sentiment.
- Scrap of Basic Black for layer behind sentiment.
Instructions:
- Score and fold card base. Stamp chicken stamp from Hey chick at the top of the card in Delightful Dijon. Use Watercolor pencils to lightly add color to chicken. Use aqua painter to blend. Delightful Dijon will blend as well since it is a classic ink.
- Add DSP to card base with an even border at the bottom and on both sides.
- Stamp egg carton on 2 x 3 piece of Whisper White with Archival Black Ink. Color egg carton with gray watercolor pencil and add a touch of Bermuda Bay to the side of each egg. Color one egg completely blue. Cut out with Stitched Oval using the Big Shot. Cut large layering oval out of Delightful Dijon.
- Stamp and color small cracked egg on scrap of Whisper White and punch with 1” circle punch.
- Stamp small cracked egg randomly on the Delightful Dijon oval.
- Layer Stitched oval on top of Delightful Dijon oval. Position at the top of DSP and adhere.
- In the lower right corner punch a 1¼” circle from the card base. Add adhesive to the circle and stick it back in the punched area adhering it to the inside of the card. Place the 1” circle in the center popped up with a dimensional.
- Stamp sentiment on scrap of Whisper White and punch out with Classic Label punch.
- Layer sentiment on Basic Black and trim to match angle, position at opening.
- Finally stamp “You’re a good egg” inside.
Hey Chick stamp set is only available for a few more days until Sale-A-Bration finishes on 31 March 2017. However, you could use this design with many stamp sets.
