Flourish Wasabi Shadow Box

Oops! Where has the past week gone? I have been so busy learning how to do videos for Facebook Live and YouTube, that I forgot to schedule some posts for my blog.

However, I am pleased to say that I have now done 2 Facebook Live videos, and am in the process of converting the second one to YouTube. The subject of the videos was to create a Shadow Box. The first video shows how to create the frame, and the second video, how to create the art panel.

Here is my first ever video.

This first picture is the one I created in the videos.

There is quite a lot of light reflected in this one, but I deliberately wanted to show the sparkle of the Wink of Stella, and the shine from the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper.

… and here are a couple of others that I have made.

Thanks so much to Corinne Gelin Defelix, a French Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator for the inspiration and original instructions.

I would love to get your feedback. Please leave a comment in this post, or on the YouTube video.

  1. Annette, thank you so much for this video tutorial for the shadow box. Really appreciated the time you took to tell us what you were about to do and then show us how you did it. Also appreciated the extra time you took to pencil in the score lines on a separate sheet to clarify the cutting lines in the corners etc.
It is so good when things are being demonstrated to have all those ‘little’ added bits shown/explained. Again, thank you for a clearly demonstrated and explained tutorial.
