I am trying another challenge today at Around the World Stampin’ Up! Challenges. These challenges are open to everyone, not just demonstrators. The only rule is that you create the project with Stampin’ Up! products that are not retired.
Challenge 34 is a colour combination.
This is the second challenge I have undertaken this week that uses So Saffron. I can’t remember the last time I used this colour. Combining it with Crisp Cantaloupe and Very Vanilla has certainly been a drain on my inspiration. After days of trying to come up with something that I liked, I finally created this.
Starting with a card base of So Saffron, I stamped the leaf image from the Hostess Set Bloom with Hope in Versamark. A piece of Crisp Cantaloup was cut with the Large Scallop Edgelit and aligned on the left side of the card. Very Vanilla was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots TIEF and overlapped the scallops. Flower Shop provided the flowers which were punched with the Pansy Punch and attached with Dimensionals. To complete the card, I added a sentiment from Bloom with Hope using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
If you are looking to kick start your mojo, why not join in these challenges. There are 2 new ones each month – on the 1st and the 15th and you then have 2 weeks to complete them.
Challenge 34 closes on 13 February 2015, so put your thinking cap on, create and upload your project to your blog and link to the challenge post.
P.S. Do you remember my entry for the AW33 challenge? I am pleased to announce that my card was chosen in the top 3 by the Design Team. I am so honoured to be included in such a talented group.
Here is my ‘award’.
