Fabulous Florets in Retiform

A Happy New Year to all my readers. I hope that 2014 brings you all the opportunities and happiness that you desire. As a bright start to the new year, I have a Retiform technique card to share with you. Retiform basically means netlike.

By using some sponges to create the grid like net pattern, you can then use masking to add different images in each grid. I took a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of scrap card and sponged some lines using Rose Red. The grids were then lightly sponged with Crumb Cake, and images from En Francais and Fabulous Florets were added with Chocolate Chip. Retired 1″ Rose Red Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon was wrapped around the centre of the artwork which was then layered onto Rose Red and a base of Naturals Ivory. The tag was cut from the retired Lots of Tags Sizzlits and the sentiment [not SU] was added in Chocolate Chip.
