The Simply Sketched Hostess stamp set is very versatile as you will see over the next few days, and by checking out my previous posts. Today, I am using it to create a Chalkboard effect.
I stamped the bird image in Whisper White Craft ink on Basic Black and then cut it out using one of the Deco Labels Framelits. Using a sponge dauber, I added ink spots around the image. I stamped a sentiment from the same set on another piece of Basic Black, drew a frame freehand with a White Gel Pen and then added ink spots. This piece was layered onto a base of Naturals Ivory. A piece of Modern Medley DSP was added and finally the image layer was attached with dimensionals.
Perhaps next time I do the Chalkboard technique, I will not make the chalk spots so pronounced. It looks like a small child has been playing on my card.
