In Remembrance

This month’s mini challenge at Crafter’s Anonymous is to take inspiration from the ANZAC day poppies or colours depicted in the image provided (Basic Black, Real Red, Sahara Sand and Whisper White).

I stamped the image from Love & Sympathy using Basic Black and Real Red markers onto a piece of Crumb Cake. This was cut with the Labels Framelits. A piece of Real Red was cut with the next size up Labels Framelits, and the Crumb Cake And Real Red were layered onto Basic Black. The sentiment, also from Love & Sympathy, was stamped in Real Red on Whisper White, cut with a smaller Labels Framelits and also added to the Basic Black. I then used the embedded embossing technique on the black layered piece with the Argyle TIEF. White Baker’s twine was wrapped around the panel a few times and tied in the middle with a knot. before adding it to a Whisper White base.

Love & Sympathy Red Sand

25th April is a solemn day for Australians and New Zealanders as we remember those who were lost in war or who are still serving.
