I had so much fun making the faux silk card and tutorial the other day that I thought I would see how the technique would work on a masculine card.
I went straight for the Open Sea images which are perfect for any masculine card. The base card of Cherry Cobbler was put through the Woodgrain TIEF. Various images from Open Sea were stamped in Crumb Cake, Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler on tissue paper to make the faux silk look. This was layered onto Night of Navy. A piece of Natural Trim Ribbon [new in the Occasions Catalogue] was folded in half, cut on an angle and placed behind the Night of Navy layer.
I think the technique works just as well for masculine cards, don’t you?
