I have not had much success to date using a blender pen to watercolour, but after seeing this card on Debbie’s site, I decided to have another try.
My base card is River Rock, and the layers are Rose Red and watercolour paper. The Scallop Border Punch and the Scallop Square Duo Die were used, together with 3 of the mini silver brads. Perfectly Penned provided the sentiment. Now to the watercolouring. I took the piece of watercolour paper and embossed it with the Manhattan Flower EF. Using the blender pen and Rose Red and Regal Rose inks, I coloured in the petals. I then used the blender pen with River Rock ink to create a shadow around the outside of the flowers. I am reasonably happy with this attempt, so I can see I will definitely be trying it again soon. Thank you so much for the inspiration Debbie.
Hi Nkki,
Thanks for commenting on my card. In answer to your query, you can watercolour with blender pens on normal cardstock as well as on watercolour paper. I used watercolour paper because it was my first large project. I will be using normal cardstock for my next project.
