Patina – you know that greenish or bluish look that old metal and timber gets. This is the technique challenge on Splitcoaststampers today.
I am trying to achieve that bluish green gray look that timber gets when left outdoors for a long time. I started by inking the Stripes EF with Sahara Sand and then embossed a piece of Whisper White. This was then sponged with Marina Mist, then Wild Wasabi and finally Basic Gray. Versamark was then added to the raised parts which were embossed with Silver EP. This piece was then layered on a base of Basic Gray. The Labels Framelits was used to cut Brushed Silver and Whisper White. The white was stamped with one of the trees from Lovely As A Tree. Thumping was used to replicate the colours of the ‘door’. This image was attached with dimensionals. Basic Black and Whisper White Taffeta ribbons were used across the bottom of the card, before adding a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. This was punched out with the Word Window punch.
