Paper Piecing

Today I have used a simple technique known as paper piecing to provide some WOW to these daisies.

Using Basic Black ink, I stamped the daisy from Every Moment three times on a piece of Whisper White card stock, and again on some Perfect Plum DSP. I then used an oval die to cut out the flowers on the white. This was mounted on a piece of Basic Black cardstock which was cut using a scallop oval die. I coloured the stems using a Old Olive marker. The DSP daisies were fussy cut and placed over the images on the white. A different pattern of Perfect Plum DSP was layered on to a Perfect Plum card base. The scalloped image panel was then layered on to the DSP using dimensionals. A sentiment from Warmest Regards was stamped in Basic Black on a scrap of Whisper White and punched out using the Decorative Label punch. After adding this to a scrap of Basic Black, the Decorative Label punch was again used to create a frame. This was layered on to the base DSP using dimensionals.
