Distressing Essentials

I purchased the Distressing Essentials kit a while ago, and have not yet had much of a play with it. My sister, Helen and I decided to see what we could do with it. So, over the next few days, I will show you some of our creative attempts at distressing.

Our first attempt uses the beautiful, but retired [sigh] Stipple Rose stamp. Rose Red and Always Artichoke markers were used to ink the stamp which was then stamped on Whisper White card stock. This was then run through the Elegant Lines embossing folder and highlighted with Charcoal Distressing Ink. One of the precision files was used to distress the edges and curl the corners. After layering on Rose Red on a Basic Black card, some pearls were added to complete the vintage look.

What do you think of our first attempt?
