If you are a regular reader of our blog, you will know that I am always trying out new techniques, card layouts and styles. I have found this great pop-up card on Lorri’s blog. I thought that for my first one of these, I would try and follow her colours and design as much as I could based on my supplies. I also thought that it would be a good way to showcase one of the new Designer Series Papers due to be released on 1 September – Just Add Cake.
Here is the closed version of the card – fairly plain, yet the scalloped edge gives a hint of something inside.
.. and here is the view when open. Isn’t it just the cutest idea? It could easily be a wedding cake, graduation cake, or any special celebration.
