Dies and Punches

Today, I attempted a Splitcoaststampers challenge to use dies and punches. As my stock of  dies and punches continues to grow, it was a case of ‘which ones to use?’.

I recently saw a pansy made using the Butterfly Punch, so I thought I would use this as the basis for my card. I punched out 2 butterflies and using the Aquapainter, Rich Razzleberry, and Summer Sun inks, I made my pansy. The 2 pieces were joined with a Vintage Brad.

To give the card itself some texture, I used the Sanded background stamp inked with Rich Razzleberry – same colour as the card. The main layer was cut in Very Vanilla using the Top Note Bigz Die. This was then stamped twice with the Speckled Jumbo Wheel, first using Old Olive ink, then with Rich Razzleberry ink.

The leaves were cut in Old Olive using the Sizzlits Little Leaves Die, and the sentiment tag used Very Vanilla and a Sizzlits Lots of Tags Die. The sentiment is from the Happy Moments stamp set and the tag is attached to the card using a Rhinestone Ice Square Brad.

Enjoy
