As we are about to head into December, I have created a selection of Christmas cards to give you some inspiration to get your cards ready to send.
Cards 1-3: The Modern Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper helps you create elegant quick and easy cards. I took a piece of 12″ x 12″ White Willow cardstock and cut it into three pieces each 4″ x 12″ and scored them at 6″. DSP pieces were added to the front of the card bases. Greetings for You Ephemera Pack provided the greetings for cards 1 and 2 and Greetings for You Ephemera Pack provided the greeting for card 3. Peace on Earth Dies provided some interest for the DSP trees on card 2. The insides have strips of the same DSP and a sentiment from Jolly Holly.
Card 4: This one may look a little more complicated but it isn’t. Take a piece of Old Olive cardstock and run it through the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Fold and Die (at the same time). This creates beautiful holly leaves all embossed and some partially cut. I attached the panel to an Old Olive card base and then used a White Gel Pen over the embossed berries. The sentiments are from the Greetings for You Ephemera Pack. The inside is decorated with the matching Jolly Holly stamp set.
Cards 5-7: The Decorative Trees Bundle was used as the basis for these three cards.
Card 5: Attach Adhesive Sheets to some Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper and die cut the images. Add Balmy Blue ink with a Blending Brush to a piece of Silent Snowfall Specialty DSP. Attach Peaceful Garden DSP to a Thick White card base and then add the inked Silent Snowfall piece and the die cuts. Add a sentiment from Greetings for All Ephemera Pack.
Card 6: This is along similar lines to Card 5. I cut a ‘wavy line’ from a piece of the Silent Snowfall to create the look of a snow drift. The ink blending is lighter on the Silent Snowfall sky panel and a little darker on the snow drift. This time the card base is Misty Moonlight and the sentiment is from Greetings for You Ephemera Pack.
Card 7: The Thick Basic White card base is layered with two patterns of the Modern Christmas Specialty DSP. The Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper die cut tree is layered onto a Basic White Everyday Arches die cut. The sentiment is from the Greetings for You Ephemera pack.
Cards 8-10: These three cards use the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP, All Season Velvet Specialty Paper and the Gallery Blooms Dies. Take a piece of the red velvet the same size as a card front (¼ sheet of card stock) and die cut the frame from the Gallery Blooms Dies. This will create three pieces – one for each of these cards. Cards 8 and 9 have sentiments on Rose Gold Foil from the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies. Card 10 also uses retired Tidings of Christmas DSP as well as a sentiment from Greetings for You Ephemera Pack.
