Did you know that there are so many different techniques that you can try using Embossing Folders?Today I am showcasing a few ways to use the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder.
Cards 1 and 2: I embossed 6″ x 6″ pieces of the Shadows and Hues DSP (one piece Fresh Freesia and the other piece Petal Pink) with the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder. I then used the direct to paper method to add ink to the raised areas of the embossing. For the Freesia card the inks used were Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather and Melon Mambo. For the Petal Pink card the inks used were Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade. The idea of using more than one ink is that you can get a beautiful blended colour that adds even more depth to the embossed image. The panels were added to matching cardstock and sentiments added from Simply Said on die cuts from the More Messages Die.

Card 3: This time I embossed a piece of Toadstool Gardens DSP and used Memento Tuxedo Black ink direct to paper on the debossed side. This way the pattern on the DSP shows through. The panels were added to a Melon Mambo card base to create a Gate Fold card. The sentiment is from Simply Said.

Cards 4 and 5: 6″ x 6″ pieces of Basic White cardstock were embossed this time. The debossed images were coloured with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers and then Early Expresso ink was added direct to paper over the layers. This allows the coloured debossed images to pop out. What do you think? I love them.
The first card uses Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral Blends. The second card uses Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Bubble Bath and Cherry Cobbler Blends.
The 6×6 pieces were enough to create a triptych on the front plus strips on the inside and on the envelope. The sentiments are from Blooming Phrases.
