More ideas using ink

Last week I used the Acrylic Block Background Technique in a couple of different ways. Today I am using the Rubber Band Technique for more inky projects. This is very basic. Take some rubber bands of varying widths and wrap them around an acrylic block, tap on ink pad and then ‘stamp’ on cardstock. Use a blending brush to add a light layer of ink to highlight the rubber band pattern.

Card 1: Use masking paper to mask off a panel of Basic White cardstock. ‘Stamp’ the rubber band block with Petunia Pop and Shy Shamrock inks in random patterns. Add Shy Shamrock ink with a blending brush. Carefully remove the masking paper and decorate the remaining panel. I used an image from Gallery Blooms in the same ink colours. Die cuts from the same bundle added more texture. The sentiment is from Blooming Phrases punched with the Classic Label Punch. The art panel was layered on Shy Shamrock and a thick Basic White card base.

Card 2: This time I used masking paper to create a diagonal panel. Night of Navy and Boho Blue inks were used with the rubber bands and Boho Blue ink with the blending brush. The diagonal part above the inking was embossed with the Glass Embossing Folder. The cupcakes and sentiment are from With You in Mind. The art panel was layered on a thick Basic White card base.

Card 3: For this card I have stepped up the technique with Faux Tearing. Tear a piece of masking paper and create a panel on the Basic White cardstock. Highland Heather and Blackberry Bliss inks were used with the rubber bands and Highland Heather with a blending brush. After stamping the sentiment and leaves, the art panel was embossed with the Plaster Painting 3D EF and layered on a thick Basic White card base.
