Being creative with ink

There are many ways to use ink on your projects. Today I am using the Acrylic Block Background Technique to create some special looks.

Cards 1 and 2: Acrylic Block Background – add Balmy Blue, Lemon Lolly and Old Olive inks to an acrylic block using ink pads or markers, spritz with water and ‘stamp’ onto Basic White cardstock. Allow to dry and stamp images from Spotlight on Nature, Simply Said and Pretty Petals using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Add layers of Mini Corrugated 3D EF and Exposed Brick 3D EF to Thick Basic White card bases and attach inky layers.

Cards 3 and 4: These use the Acrylic Block Background in a different way. First place the photopolymer stamp the wrong way up onto an acrylic block. On the other side of the block add ink based on the image. Spritz the block with water and ‘stamp’ onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. When dry stamp the image over the inky background using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The first card uses Pecan Pie, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green and Azure Afternoon ink with an image from Mixed Florals and a sentiment from the Greetings for all Ephemera Pack.
The second card uses an image from Thankful Garden with Flirty Flamingo, Pretty in Pink and Shy Shamrock inks. Exposed Brick 3D EF panel was die cut with Memorable Blooms die and lightly inked with Gray Granite ink. Shy Shamrock cardstock was used to die cut a leafy piece from the Mixed Florals Dies. The Sentiment is from Simply Said.

Card 5: Acrylic Block Background – use Night of Navy, Boho Blue, Peach Pie and Fresh Freesia inks on an acrylic block, spritz with water and ‘stamp’ onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. When dry run the panel through the Sunrise Sailing Hybrid Embossing Folder and attach to a Thick White card base. Add a sentiment from Simply Said.
