Using Designer Series Paper as the focal point on your Christmas Cards

The Sentimental Christmas DSP has many images that can be die cut with Sentimental Wishes Dies or fussy cut to create beautiful cards. One of the sheets of this DSP has leaves and berries sprigs (which I fussy cut) as well as stockings and ribbon bows (which I die cut). The insides and envelopes were decorated to match each card.

Card 1: For this card the leaves and berries sprigs were arranged in a wreath on a piece of Basic White. After adding strips of Poppy Parade to each end I ran it through the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and attached it to a Poppy Parade card base. The sentiment is from Greetings of the Season. Red Pearlized Enamel Effects were added to the berry images for some dimension and interest.

Card 2: More sprigs of the leaves and berries were attached diagonally across a piece of Basic White which was then stamped with a sentiment from Sentimental Wishes, embossed with the Basics ‘hash’ folder and attached to a Poppy Parade card base. The stocking and ribbon bow are from the DSP and the leafy sprigs die cut from Blackberry Bliss and Garden Green cardstock. The scalloped rectangle frame comes from the Unbounded Love Dies. The Silver Foil circle was punched with the 2½” punch.

Card 3: A strip of Take a Bow DSP was added to a piece of Basic White, embossed with the Basics ‘star’ 3D Embossing Folder and attached to a Poppy Parade card base. This time the berries and leaves and some Blackberry Bliss leafy sprigs were arranged across embossed panel. The sentiment was stamped on an Unbounded Love Die cut. Red Pearlized Enamel Effects added some interest to the sentiment panel.

Card 4: This has a little different look with the black and white polka dot panel for the background. This panel was in my stash and comes from an old Box of Sunshine Paper Pumpkin kit. The two rectangle frames and the label are from the Unbounded Love Dies.
