Inspiration for Christmas using Decorative Trees

The Decorative Trees Bundle provides many ways to create Christmas projects.

Card 1: This card uses the outline tree die with red and green glimmer papers and gold foil. The red and green trees are overlaid with filigree dies. The gold foil tree has been die cut with another fancy die. The card base of Wild Wheat is layered with Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP.

Card 2: The Winter Meadow DSP was stamped with the stars and White craft ink. The two filigree trees were die cut with Silver Foil. The snow banks were created with White Glimmer Paper. The card base is Blueberry Bushel.

Card 3: This is a Flip Flop card made with a Thick Basic White card base and layered with Take A Bow DSP. On the front of the flip, the outline tree die was cut from green Festive Glimmer Paper and the Plaid filigree die with Gold Foil. On the back of the flip, a Gold Foil layer has the solid Green tree which had been cut from the front panel. The stars were stamped randomly with Wild Wheat ink.

  1. Thank you for your interest in my Flip Flop Fancy Fold. I have a few different ways of making this fold. See my post – https://lavenderthoughts.com/2023/12/03/a-selection-of-swing-flip-flop-cards-for-christmas/ for more information. For this one, take a standard half sheet of cardstock (21cm x 14.8cm scored at 10.5cm OR 8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”). Select the die you wish to use as the centre panel and place it on the front of the card base ensuring that the card base is open flat. You can centre it so that half the front will fold back or offset it like I have in this one. Use a die cut machine to only cut the right hand half of the die (more about that in the post above). Remove from machine, then score and fold on the cut line. Do not score or fold the die cut piece. Decorate as desired.
