Looking for a WOW card for a special occasion? Today I have taken my inspiration from Jennifer McGuire to create some Pop Out Window Cards for Christmas.
Card 1: Create the focal pop out image using an image from your favourite DSP. Here I have used the Sentimental Wishes DSP. A piece of Basic Beige was embossed with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder and attached to a Thick Basic White card base. A Deckled Circles die was used to create the circular opening. The same die was used to create a Pretty Peacock circle. A smaller die from the same set was used to create the DSP circle. Use smaller Deckled Circle Dies for the sentiment panel.
Card 2: This one provides an even bigger WOW factor. Because the pop up layer is quite large, I have added an extra ‘card’ on the inside to have space to write a greeting. The inside card is slightly smaller than the base card (0.5cm or ¼”). Deckled Rectangle Dies were used together with the Decorative Trees Dies. The card base is Very Vanilla with a layer of Seasons of Elegance Specialty DSP. The background layer and tree are from the Festive Glimmer Paper. The tree’s accessories use Gold Foil and Real Red Glimmer Paper.
