Faux Letterpress with Painted Trees for Christmas

In the current 2024 September-December Mini Catalogue there is a beautiful 3D Embossing Folder – Painted Trees. It is medium-large in size and produces an embossed image that is about 6″ x 6″. Today I have used it with the Faux Letterpress technique to create two quick and easy cards for Christmas.

Emboss a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then on the side where the trees are indented, drag a Misty Moonlight stamp pad across the flat surface until you achieve the depth of colour you desire. Add some stars using a White Gel Pen then cut the panel in half. Each piece was layered with Black Glimmer Paper and then added to a Thick Basic White card base.

The sentiment on the first card is from Sentimental Wishes, die cut with Something Fancy Dies. The sentiment on the second card is from the Online Exclusive set Greetings of the Season. The flap of the envelopes were embossed with the same folder for a little elegance.
