More Leaf Prints with White Acrylic Paint

Have you tried using fresh foliage from your garden to create prints for your cards? Today I have used some leaves from my photinia shrub. The new growth is a pretty shade of red/copper.

Tips:

  • Brayer white acrylic paint onto the front side of the leaves and press them onto a piece of Basic White cardstock.
  • To get a good impression cover with a piece of copy paper and use the brayer for extra pressure.
  • Remove the copy paper then carefully lift the leaves and allow the cardstock to dry.
  • Use a Blending Brush with Copper Clay ink to add colour to the leaf imprints (emboss resist technique).
  • Add a strip of Basic Black cardstock and Copper Trim along the side of the panel and then layer it onto a Copper Clay card base.
  • The sentiment from Pansy Patch was stamped on Basic White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, sponged with Copper Clay ink and fussy cut. Add some Copper Metallic Thread behind the sentiment and attach the panel to the art panel with Dimensionals. Complete the card with some Brushed Metallic Dots.
