Adding interest to a watercolour background

For today’s card, I have added water droplets to a watercolour wash background to provide some texture.

Tips:

  • Create a watercolour wash background on watercolor paper with Water Painters and Coastal Cabana, Azure Afternoon and Lost Lagoon inks. Allow to dry and add some water droplets of different sizes across the background.
  • Stamp tree branch and sentiment with Stazon Jet Black ink.
  • Stamp some leaves on Basic White with Old Olive ink and die cut with matching dies. Add to the tree and a couple of the leaves to the base of the tree.
  • Layer the art panel on Basic Black then onto a Coastal Cabana card base.
  • Decorate the inside and envelope to match.
  • Supplies:

    • Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Basic Black, Basic White, Watercolor Paper
    • Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Coastal Cabana, Azure Afternoon, Lost Lagoon, Old Olive
    • Accessories: Seasonal Branches Dies, Water Painter, Dimensionals
