How to use Pressed Flowers on your cards

Today I have used some fresh lavender sprigs from my garden to create a couple of pretty and fragrant cards.

Tips:

  • Take a few sprigs of fresh lavender and arrange them on a piece of watercolor paper. Place another piece of watercolour paper over the sprigs and wrap in a piece of paper towel.
  • Use the embossing sandwich for your Big Shot or other die cutting / embossing machine and run the sprig panel through. If the sandwich is too loose you may need to use a shim or the die cutting sandwich.
  • Carefully open the paper towel, remove the top piece of watercolor paper and then the squashed lavender sprigs. Leave any bits that stick on the paper for now. Allow the pressed flower panels to dry before creating two cards.
  • Stamp inside panels and envelopes to match.
  • Supplies:
    • Stamp Set: Go to Greetings, Wisteria Wishes
    • Cardstock: Highland Heather, Soft Sea Foam, Watercolor Paper, Very Vanilla, Basic Black
    • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
    • Accessories: Sprigs of fresh lavender
