Gate Fold Card with a Fishing Theme

The Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper contains lots of patterns and creates a great card without having to add much extra. (It is not just for masculine, but for any fishing enthusiast.) Today I have used it to create a Gate Fold card.

Tips:

  • Measurements:
    • Card Base (Pebbled Path): 21cm x 14.8cm scored at 5.25cm from each end on the long side.
    • DSP: 2 pieces each 4.75cm x 14.3cm
    • Sentiment Panel (Very Vanilla): 8cm x 8cm die cut with a Stylish Shapes Die (approximately 7cm square)
    • Inside (Very Vanilla): 9.5cm x 13.8cm
    • Optional: Add a strip of DSP to the inside of the card and the envelope
  • Add DSP to both sides of the front of the card base.
  • Keep the sentiment panel in the die after cutting it. Use Blending Brushes to add Mossy Meadow ink lightly to the inside of the panel.
  • Fussy cut some fish from a sheet of DSP and attach to the panel (ensure panel is on diamond angle).
  • Add splatters with a Water Painter and Pebbled Path ink.
  • Stamp sentiment from Seasonal Branches at the base of the panel.
  • Attach sentiment panel to the left hand side of the card base.
  • Decorate inside and envelope to match.
  • Supplies:
    • Stamp Set: Seasonal Branches
    • Cardstock: Pebbled Path, Very Vanilla, Let’s Go Fishing DSP
    • Ink: Pebbled Path, Mossy Meadow
    • Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Blending Brushes, Water Painter
