Bordered Sentiment with Irresistible Blooms

Today I have a card using the Online Exclusive Bundle called Irresistible Blooms. You can purchase it in my online shop (link below). I will have more cards from this bundle to showcase over the next few weeks.

Tips:

  • The Bordered Sentiment Technique is a great way to create a clean and simple look.
  • Take a piece of Basic White and stamp the sentiment on a diagonal and cover it with masking paper.
  • The idea is to stamp the images above and below the sentiment but ensuring that the images overlap the masked sentiment.
  • Stamp some of the flowers and leaves on masking paper and fussy cut.
  • Starting in the lower left hand corner of the art panel, stamp the largest flower with Azure Afternoon ink. Cover it with a mask and stamp some leaves using Granny Apple Green ink.
  • Cover the leaves with masks and stamp a small flower.
  • Cover the flower with a mask and stamp more leaves.
  • Cover the leaves with masks and stamp another flower.
  • Carefully remove only the flower and leaf masks and repeat the process above the sentiment mask.
  • Remove all the masks except the one over the sentiment.
  • On the back of the art panel use a bone folder to score just above the top and just below the bottom edges of the masking paper.
  • Carefully remove the sentiment mask.
  • Layer the art panel onto Azure Afternoon and then a a Granny Apple Green card base.
  • Stamp matching images onto a white layer for the inside of the card and onto the front of an envelope,
