Carols of Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the RemARKably Creative Christmas in July – Carols of Christmas Blog Hop.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Annette Sullivan (Lavender Thoughts), or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup in the link below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Annette Sullivan (Lavender Thoughts).

During the month of August, you will have early access to one of our top-trending bundles from the upcoming holiday catalogue! As a demonstrator, I get even earlier access to it – in July so that I can design some great projects to peak your interest. This blog hop will give you many wonderful ideas on how to use this terrific bundle.

The stamp set has 13 stamps. Two very large sentiments, plus a deer, holly, leaves, ornaments, poinsettia flower and some embellishment type images make up the set. The matching Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies has 11 pieces. There are trees, some borders / edges and dies to cut the deer, ornaments, holly, leaves and flower.

My first card starts with a Thick Very Vanilla card base. The Real Red layer was stamped with the poinsettia flower to create a tone on tone look. Some Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon was wrapped around the red layer before attaching it to the card base. The art panel uses one of the two large sentiments from the new stamp set. I have stamped it in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. The little leaves are in Garden Green. I also added some Gold Metallic Enamel Shapes for bling.

…. and just a little decoration for the inside.

My second card has a card base of Night of Navy. DSP from Naturally Eclectic creates the first layer. A piece of Soft Sky was die cut with one of the edge pieces – it has a moon, stars and other small shapes. The trees were also die cut – a single tree and the pair.

To create a snowy look for the trees, I added some Embossing Paste to the DSP behind the tree and moon cut outs. There is a piece of Silver Mini Sequin Trim behind the sentiment layer. I also added some of the single sequins from the trim to the Embossing Paste behind the trees.

That cute little deer was stamped in Soft Suede on Whisper White and die cut with the matching die.

I used some of the die cut pieces on the inside ….
