eeThis is the second of my projects for the December Creative Crew challenges on Splitcoaststampers. The challenge: “Catalogue Focus: candy dots. Copy someone’s artwork that loves brads or candy dots. Use candy dots generously on your project.”
Whilst ‘surfing’ Splitcoaststampers, I found this very pretty Christmas card by Tags which uses lots of candy dots. I CASE’d the basic idea, changing stamp sets and DSP.
I stamped the tree from Evergreen in Old Olive using the two-step stamping process on Whisper White. This piece was then put through the Zyron to make it sticky all over. I covered it with Dazzling Diamonds to create a very sparkly look. Candy dots were then added for the ornaments. The base card of Whisper White had a piece of Seasons of Style DSP adhered to the left hand side. Old Olive was cut with the Finishing Touches Edgelits and attached alongside the DSP. The tree was layered on Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment is from More Merry Messages and was cut with one of the dies from the new Circle Card Thinlits Dies, and attached to the card with dimensionals.
A great design for any occasion. Thanks Tags for the inspiration.
