I am still having lots of fun learning MDS, and have now purchased the full version. Wow, the amount of content is truly amazing. Not only that, but every week [Tuesday USA time], Stampin’ Up! provides new downloads for you to acquire.
Today, I have made two hybrid cards – using MDS for part, and real embellishments and card stock to complete the project. For the MDS part, I used images from Postage Due and Word Play, together with Fan Fair DSP. It is the same DSP, just coloured Island Indigo in one and Rich Razzleberry in the other. If you look closely at the corners of the Paris image, I have added MDS Rhinestones. They look so real .
Another great use of MDS is that the images can be resized. With the real Paris image, it is only 1¼” square. I have resized it to 2½” square with absolutely no loss in quality. Imagine the possibilities with other images. The MDS projects were printed on Whisper White, wrapped with ribbon [Island Indigo Sycamore Street bundle and Rich Razzleberry ¼” Stitched Grosgrain] and then mounted on Naturals White [even though one of the photos looks blue].
What do you think of these hybrid cards? Pretty, aren’t they?
