Flowering Tulips Three Ways

The Flowering Tulips Bundle (#157678) is one of the beautiful new bundles in the 2022 January-June Mini Catalogue. Today I have used these products in three different ways.

As a side note: The stamped tulips are created using two-step stamping where the second image is either done in a lighter colour or using the same colour and second generation stamping. Play around with colours and stamping to get your favourites before starting your project.

Card 1: Using Shimmer Vellum to die cut tulips

Tips:

  • Add a light layer of Pool Party ink to the front of the Vanilla card base using a Blending Brush.
  • Use the third largest Diorama die to cut a piece of Simply Elegant DSP.
  • Use the In Color Shimmer Vellum to die cut the three different tulips, three stems and four leaves. Add the tulips to the front of the card base then attach the negative diorama piece using Foam Adhesive Strips.
  • Stamp a sentiment and die cut with a tulip shape. Add to the base of the tulips with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp some tulips on the inside of the card and envelope using second generation stamping for some of the images.

Card 2: Stamping and die cutting the tulips

Tips:

  • Emboss the front of the Smoky Slate card base with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder,
  • This card uses the positive diorama die cut from the previous card. Reverse the DSP diorama die cut to get the opposite pattern and attach to the embossed card front.
  • Die cut the third smallest of the diorama dies with Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Stamp three stems and some leaves on the die cut with Old Olive ink and attach it to the DSP diorama die cut.
  • Stamp one of the medium and two of the small tulips with Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Petal Pink inks using second generation stamping for some of the images. Die cut with matching dies and add some Wink of Stella. Add to the stamped stems and leaves with Dimensionals.
  • Add some white Classic Matte Dots randomly on the Soft Sea Foam panel.
  • Stamp a sentiment on white with Basic Gray ink, die cut and sponge lightly with the same ink. Add to the card base using Dimensionals.
  • Stamp tulips on inside panel and envelope using second generation stamping for some of the images. Use a Water Painter and Basic Gray ink to add some splatters.

Card 3: Create collage with tulips and add border die to create a garden

Tips:

  • Stamp medium and small tulips across a piece of Basic White using second generation stamping for some of the images. Use parts of the stamps to create some buds too. Add stems to all of the flowers. Add some light colour to the background with Pool Party ink and a Blending Brush. Use a Water Painter and Pool Party ink to add some splatters.
  • Die cut the tulip border with Basic White cardstock and colour with Stampin’ Blends to match the inks used to stamp the images on the art panel. Attach the border to the base of the art panel with Dimensionals.
  • Add the art panel to a layer of Basic Black and attach to a Pool Party card base.
  • Use some Brushed Brass Butterflies and Black Classic Matte Dots amongst the flowers. Add Wink of Stella to some of the stamped flowers and coloured border flowers.
  • Stamp tulips on inside panel and envelope using second generation stamping for some of the images.
