Stained Glass in Elegant Eggplant

Stained glass is beautiful, and you can achieve a similar effect using vellum and heat embossing.

Using the Secret Garden Bundle [stamps and Framelits] from the current Seasonal Catalogue, I have been trying out this technique. Today’s card starts with a base of Elegant Eggplant embossed with the new Honeycomb TIEF. A layer of Whisper White was stamped with En Francais in Sahara Sand and cut with the Top Note Die. The sentiment [from Sale-a-bration 2013 which has just finished] and flower stem [from Secret Garden] were then stamped with Garden Green. I then stamped a few flowers from Secret Garden in Versamark on Vellum card stock and heat embossed them with White EP. After cutting them out with the matching Framelits, I turned them over and inked them with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant markers. Once dry, I assembled two of them with Glue Dots and added to the white Top Note piece. Some Wisteria Wonder Baker’s Twine was wrapped around before adhering to the honeycomb base.

Isn’t it pretty?
