Monochromatic Dynamic Duos Week

Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery are the monochromatic colours for this week’s Dynamic Duos challenge.

Whilst I believe you can never have too much green, I thought I would start with a Naturals White card base for this one. I reverse masked some of the Sizzlits Little Leaves in Certainly Celery to provide some background interest. A piece of Holiday Harmony DSP [retired many years ago] was the perfect artichoke for the central layer. The tree from Thoughts & Prayers was then stamped with Certainly Celery and ‘thumped’ with Always Artichoke on Whisper White to provide some two dimensional texture. This was cut with a Labels Framelits and the top and bottom cut straight. Three celery flowers were punched with one of the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, scored across the scallops and added to the tree with Glue Dots. Tiny Basic Pearls were added to the centre of each flower.

The sentiment was stamped on a celery Sizzlits Lots of Tags with Always Artichoke. Three of the four leaf flowers were punched from Always Artichoke with another of the Itty Bitty Shapes Punches. These were added to the bottom of the sentiment with Glue Dots and tiny Basic Pearls added to the centre. The tag was attached with a silver Mini Brad.

  1. Very pretty use of the greens in this challenge. 😉 I like how you masked in the background leaves, and I love all the little flowers with that lovely tree image. Glad you could join Dynamic Duos this week. 😉
